DIY: Glitter Pinecones

12 days of christmas crafting
Day Two of the 12 days of Christmas Crafting is here!!! Today’s craft is DIY Glitter Pinecones. Sounds silly and simple, but it really adds to the Christmas vibe in your home!

DSC_1697Step 1: Gather some pinecones! We found a tree nearby with super teeny ones and we picked those suckers right off!

DSC_1698Step 2: Gather supplies. You will need: pinecones, 1 ziploc-style baggie, glitter [I chose a copper glitter], spray adhesive, a pretty bowl or vase to put them in to display! Also, you may or may not need a stud muffin boyfriend to cheer you on. Just a suggestion!

DSC_1699 DSC_1700Step 3: Put some pinecones in a ziploc-style baggie. Spray them with Spray Adhesive [don’t overdo it with the glue, we don’t want the pinecones sticking together or to the bag].

DSC_1703 DSC_1706Step 4: Add the glitter… in my opinion, you can’t overdo it here. But use discretion, of course, and as always, keep your glitter budget in mind! Make sure the baggie is sealed tightly and shake it like a Polaroid picture!

DSC_1709DSC_1710Step 5: Continue steps 1-4 until all of your desired pinecones are glitter-fied! Then put them in a pretty bowl or vase for all to enjoy!!

Just wanted to let you know that I nominated your blog for a Liebster award. (It’s fun, trust me!) Go take a look at my post about it:

Can’t wait to hear your answers! 😉
