Tuck Everlasting is a classic novel by Natalie Babbitt about a family that lives forever and the pros and cons of such an arrangement. The story was incredibly short, so there’s not a lot to say that won’t give away the story.
A young girl, Winnie Foster, happens upon the “fountain of youth” and the family that drank from it… the Tucks! They’re eclectic and interesting and want to save the world from themselves. The Tuck family know the downfalls of living forever and they want to save others from making their mistake. In order to save their secret, they kidnap Winnie and attempt to convince her why the fountain of youth needs to remain hidden from the world.
It was fun, short, would probably be much more interesting to children. I didn’t love it, didn’t hate it… it was okay. Not very inspiring!
