Around the World in 80 Days: A Review

Around-The-World-In-80-DaysJules Verne‘s Around the World in 80 Days is one of the most fun adventure novels I’ve come across thus far! I expected Robinson Crusoe [review here] to be this type of novel and for Around the World in 80 Days to be a dull, less exciting story… but they were swapped!

The novel surrounds the thoroughly quirky, yet extremely calm Phileas Fogg, Fogg has made a wager with some friends at his Reform Club… a 20,000 pound wager that he can travel a pre-determined route around the world in 80 days or less. With his brand-spanking new valet Passepartout in tow, Fogg heads off from London on his worldwide adventure. Will he make his trip in 80 days?!

It wasn’t laugh out loud funny, but there were a lot of humorous situations and conversations. It’s a classic and you should’ve already read it, so get on it, readers!
