About Sarah

bridal selfieAnniversaryI’m Sarah, a 30 year old tattooed wonder with a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre & Drama and a minor in English. My real passion is writing. I’ve written a few short stories, but mostly I enjoy working as a Technical Writer. I’m a nerd in the most base meaning of the word. I’m a comic book loving, Doctor Who watching, book-reading fanatic. Every now and then I get crafty and crochet or make something pretty for our home.

first kissthat time we met the doctor

Speaking of ‘our’, two years ago I married my best friend Mitch. We have been together for 5+ years. Mitch is going to school for Printmaking and working part-time, too. We’re a pretty busy couple of loons!

A boy and his hatWe have three crazy kittens: Bellatrix, Callisto, & Princess Peach AND a little Boston Terrier mix named Franklin!

My mom is my biggest supporter and closest friend. She keeps me sane and thinking positively. I am so blessed to have such an incredible relationship with her!

my familyMy family is very close, probably due to moving around so much when we were younger. My dad was in the Army and still works today to support the troops! We are a family of best friends and I do not take that for granted!

my girls

Having spent the majority of my childhood in Hawaii, my closest girlfriends are all over the U.S.! We keep in contact and try to see each other every few years. They understand a part of me that I can never explain to someone new. I’ve known Shelly since the 3rd grade and Kym & Eboni since 7th grade, they are my people and we’ve been through so much together. They’re family to me.

I have bad days and good days, but overall, I am an incredibly blessed woman with a crazy/silly sense of humor, and some book smarts!

    Peace and Love, Sanoj

  16. You are very much like my daughter, Roseanna, who is a junior in college creative writing/women’s studies major. She has her own blog, lifeonabookshelf-josiecollege.blogspot.com which is mainly poetry and short story oriented. I wish you all success with your blog. The more good blogs the better.
By the way, I followed you here from the culture monk.
God’s peace be on you and on your household.

  17. p.s. the picture at the top makes me suspect you are in St. Louis, my old hometown. We used to live near the St. Louis zoo. The Midwest was great to us, but the tornados were a bit intimidating.

  18. I don’t know Indiana, except one of my favorite movies, Breaking Away, was filmed there, in Bloomington I think.
We used to live just inside the St. Louis city limits and a block from the edge of the hill where you can see the St Louis basin all spread out down to the river. It was a cool place, and we could walk to Forest Park and the zoo and I even walked over to Washington University for my job (math teacher). I have some good memories of St Louis, not the least of which is that Kathryn and I met there.
Well, I tend to be a bit talkative online.
